What is a PVC Stabilizer?

A PVC stabilizer is a chemical additive added to polyvinyl chloride (PVC) to improve its thermal and mechanical properties. The PVC stabilizer protects PVC from decaying and oxidation and substantially improves its processing characteristics.

Without adding stabilizers, PVC becomes brittle and prone to cracking as the stabilizers significantly impact the strength of PVC material. Apart from it, the stabilizers also prevent the PVC from losing its color and maintain the aesthetics of PVC products.

it has very good process performances,it is based on a combination of calcium and zinc soaps,

together with organic and inorganic co-stabilizers to provide combined high heat stability and

It mainly used as PVC heat stabilizer for soft/semi rigid ,rigid applications Like PVC film,sheet, shoes,

profile, pipe, wire,hose, plastic injection and extrusion materials etc.

(1) Calcium and zinc stabilizers can replace organotin stabilizers and lead salt stabilizers, to meet the environmental health requirements of non-toxic wire and cable; (2) excellent initial whiteness and thermal stability, resistance to sulphuric contamination; (3) good lubrication and unique coupling effect, giving the filler a good dispersion, enhance the wrapping of the resin, improve product performance, reduce mechanical wear and prolong the service life of equipment; (4) both toughening and melting effect; (5) can give the PVC mix good uniformity of plasticisation and high-speed melt flow, so that the surface of the product is smooth. A:During loading and unloading, keep it clean to prevent exposure to the sun, rain, high temperature and humidity, and to avoid damage to the package. It shall be stored in a cool, dry warehouse without direct sunlight and at a temperature lower than 40 ºC for two years. After two years, it can still be used after passing the performance inspection.
